Double Fudge Brownies
In a medium saucepan combine:
- 12 oz sugar
- 5½ oz margarine
- 2 fluid oz water
and bring to a boil and remove from heat.
Add:
- 12-oz. package of chocolate
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
and stir until chocolate melts.
Beat in:
Gradually add:
- 6 oz flour
- ½ teaspoon baking soda or
use self-raising flour
- ½ teaspoon salt
and mix thoroughly.
Optional: blend in 8 fluid oz chopped nuts (optional).
Spread into a greased 13" x 9" pan
Bake for 30 min. (+10 if necessary) at 150°
C (300° F)
